I don't think I've ever been so scared of someone saying "I love you" and "love me". That is the true yandere experience lol. I imagine since she is called the Witch of Envy, she was envious of other people being loved. Which is pretty sad to be fair. Doubt it was the only thing she was envious of though. This episode we get confirmed that there are many clones of Ryuzu Meyer. Most of them are just empty shells though, called the "Eyes of the Sanctuary". A term we also heard back when Subaru escaped the prison cell thanks to Otto. We also find out that Echidna wanted to find a way to be immortal. Probably to satisfy her greed for knowledge, no doubt. Since we find out here that Subaru has the right to control the clones of Ryuzu as an Apostle of Greed because he drank the "tea" from Echidna, wouldn't that also mean that Garfiel has also done something similar because he too is called an Apostle of Greed, or maybe there's some other reason why he's called that? He does seem to control the clones after all. But then they talk about how just taking the trial is good enough to be an Apostle of Greed, so if that was true, wouldn't that also make Emilia an Apostle of Greed? A pinch-hitter is apparently a baseball term for basically a substitute. So what he's saying here is that since Puck isn't there to comfort Emilia, it's up to him to do it. I don't think there's any other character anywhere that's known more pain and suffering than Subaru, sorry Garfiel, you're wrong with that assessment lol.
