you are right! sometimes I get confused just because I know something, it doesn't mean the characters know too 😆 Puck is a mystery of his own I can't wait to see what his story is and why he is so close to Emilia and always wants to protect her!

2025-09-30 20:40:18 +0000 UTCWe gotta keep in mind Subaru and others don't actually know what happened to Rem or how Crusch and Rem lost parts of themselves. So, that is to say, they don't know about the Archbishop of Gluttony yet. We finally see a new maid: Frederica. We saw a very tiny glimpse of her back in season 1, pretty much just one frame. I think what Subaru was referring to by saying that he doesn't want to see how Ram would react to Rem being in that state is the time that Rem died to the shaman dog mabeast that cursed her. The time when Ram was screaming in anguish, I remember Subaru even saying that her cries wouldn't leave his mind. I bet he feels really remorseful about that still, for making Ram go through that. Here we also get the full confirmation that Betty is actually a spirit. It makes more sense now why Betty was so into Puck, with Puck being one of the great spirits. You may also remember Betty distinctly calling Subaru a "human" or "lowly human" a few times back in season 1, slightly hinting towards the fact that she is in fact a spirit. One thing worth noting is how it was also said that Subaru has a great affinity towards spirits, so it makes even more sense how Subaru has gotten to be good friends with Betty. Geuse is obviously meant to be some kind of nickname (like Lia for Emilia) for Petelgeuse, in case that wasn't clear. What the connection is between Betty and Petelgeuse, who knows. We also find out that Petra is now a maid in the mansion! So cute! It's also kinda weird to see Puck not show up, but we did see him do his things and not appear back in the OVA as well, so maybe it's not so weird. I wonder what he's up to though. She has no information about the current world, the current Gluttony or how their authority works So basically Subaru sees through her act and she can’t really offer anything that’s why he casually leaves. Also Mistranslation here Echidna states that she uses his sloth witch factor on it (her tea) to strengthen his resistance. That is incorrect. What she actually says is "I used it(the tea) in order to strengthen your resistance to the sloth witch factor.
