Overlord Season 4 Episode 8 Reaction/Review

Comments

yea in the end the whole kingdom fell 😭

SprinkleVerse

King of reestize is a good person, but he's a terrible king. Way too naive to be a ruler.

Leo

that is true! he offered himself instead of the noble.

SprinkleVerse

The most important thing in this episode imo is the "A superior should be responsible for the mistakes of their subordinates", while Albedo was using this wrongly, the king at the end did exactly what Ains said, that it should be used in a way to protect their subordinates. It's a great way to show the difference in character between the king and Albedo

I agree he is such an idiot, he never learns 😓

SprinkleVerse

yea the King is completely excuseless he saw what happened and Gazef was against it but he wouldn't listen to him and now that he lost him, it seems like he is throwing his life away. he makes me mad this king. 🥲

SprinkleVerse

lol true Philip is such an idiot 😂 oh wow yea Neia gained that skill after being resurrected by Ainz! 😳

In the novel, it has 3 separate opening scenes with Hilma, Renner with Zanac, and Albedo receiving their own reports of Philip's actions. All of them made noises and dropped their normal composures at the unbelievable stupidity they were reading. Philip was able to rob the caravan because the guards assigned to it were hired by Hilma and the leader knew Philip was her pawn and so assumed that this robbery was part of her plan. Hilma truly became a believer in Ainz; telling the others that he could be callous if needed, but he was also merciful and had clarity and flexibility of thought. She knew Albedo had no such mercy and it would be best for all of them to try and work hard enough to become direct subordinates of Ainz rather than being managed by Albedo. It is quickly mentioned here that the seal of "The Faceless One" is next to the Holy Kingdom's seal on the declaration of grievances. In the past, the high priest would have their seal there, meaning that this "Faceless One" has already enough influence to supplant the old religion. "The Faceless One" is Neia Baraja, a nickname because she preached with her visor on to hide her "vicious-looking" eyes.

The major problem are the nobles and their king. I bet the ones that are in this room, besides the king weren't at the battle grounds don't know the true terror of what Ainz did. The prince could tell by the king and the survivors how horrific that massacre was. The war is happening, and it won't stop them.
