Oh wow, we get to see him again! Yea, I'm lucky, I have all these episodes 😂 I can't imagine how it would feel to watch an anime for 26 or so years, and it hasn't even ended that is crazy!!!! 😳

Thank you for sharing it. 🥰 I didn't notice him in Cocoyashi Village at all😲 I totally didn't notice Buggy saying that!! I just watched that part again!!! So he has been in the Grand Line before 😳

2025-05-04 16:40:26 +0000 UTCOh, I almost forgot about Sam. He's another hidden character like Pandaman and tends to pop up randomly when there's a celebration. He has a backstory that Oda told in an SBS (kind of like an "Ask Me Anything" thread) in the Manga. Sam is a very stressed out person due to the rebellious nature of his daughters. To cope with his stress, he drinks heavily and has a habit of getting very drunk. When he's drunk, he becomes much more fun loving and joins any crowd or party he would happen to run into. When his eldest daughter was eight, his wife left him and their daughters behind. Throughout the years, he had to raise his daughters on his own. His second daughter was a big troublemaker growing up and had caused him many problems. He was apparently there in Cocoyashi Village during the celebration, apparently he was on his way back from his oldest daughter's wedding, saw the big crowd and joined in the celebration, and here he was coming back from another wedding before he got invited to be a judge. ... Yeah he goes to a lot of weddings. 🤣 The way Oda even gives random background characters like that backstories is another reason why I love this series so much. Also I wonder what Buggy could have possibly meant by calling the Grand Line "nostalgic" 😏

2025-05-04 10:52:17 +0000 UTCDragon has a reason to save Luffy, but you only learn that reason in the 300-ish episodes lol so yeah it’s a long anime so you need to have a very good memory because questions about what happened in early episodes only get answered like hundreds and hundreds of episodes later, and here I would say you have the chance that all these episodes are already out, even if it takes you like 2 years to catch up, it only will take 2 years, people that were already watching One Piece since the beginning had to wait much more time it’s been 26 or 27 years since One Piece started it’s crazy
