Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)

This length of chain can be lashed to all manner of things to keep them on your person. At its ends is a pair of shimmering crystals. The crystals are from the Monolith, a stone of immeasurable power and size, and said to have been the first stone in the Plane of Earth from which all others originate. If you're attuned to multiple items with "Monolith Crystal" in their name, they only count as a single item for the purpose of the number of items you can attune to. Furthermore, while attuned to this item, you gain a cumulative +1 bonus to Constitution saving throws.

The item has 4 charges for the following properties. It regains all expended charges daily at dawn.

Change Color. While the chain is on your person, you can use a bonus action to expend 1 of its charges to magically change the crystals' color, clarity, and visible inclusions. You then gain resistance to the damage type associated with that color, as shown on the table below. The crystals are always the same color, and are a random color when found.

Crystal Binding. While holding the chain, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges to attach it to an object you're holding or wearing. Unless it's worn (such as a headdress or piece of armor), the object can be no larger than 2 feet in any dimension. The chain remains attached to the object until you use an action to detach it (no charge required) or until you're no longer attuned to the chain. While the chain is attached to the object, your attunement to neither the chain nor the object it's attached to (if it requires attunement) end as a result of them being more than 100 feet away from you for at least 24 hours. In addition, you gain a bonus to ability checks you make using that object equal to the total bonus you gain to Constitution saving throws as a result of being attuned to items with "Monolith Crystal" in their name.

Summon Tether. You can use a bonus action to expend 1 of the chain's charges to summon the object it's attached to via the Crystal Binding property. You can also choose to change the crystal's color (as if by its Change Color property) as part of using this bonus action. The object instantly teleports either to your open hand, to its intended placement on your body (if it can be worn), or to the ground at your feet (your choice), provided you're on the same plane of existence as the object. Alternatively, if you're attuned to another item with "Monolith Crystal" in its name, you can expend a charge from that item, instead of this one, to magically teleport the object in this way.
