Heroic Ideas — OOPS! All Artifact ideas! Choose 2 community item PROMPTS to be made!

Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. This week, I asked patrons to suggest a two-sentence prompt for an artifact. These aren't written yet, unlike the typical Discord suggestion.

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Coriolis Bulwark — Massive shield that provides resistance to storm related damage. It has the ability to build up charges during a combat then release a storm flavored blast at enemies, and also has the ability to dispel/or counter storm related spells or effects.

2) Armor of Absence — a suit of black armor covered in abjurative runes that makes you nearly immune to magic. It also allows you to replicates the effect of antimagic field in a larger area.

3) Otherworld Philter — a potion that refracts the potential of alternate timelines, granting luck and foreknowledge for 1 week when drunk. During this time you can meditate to focus its power a single time, rewriting your own history to alter everything from class levels to stat distribution to appearance (without changing major events or critical moments).

4) Bullet Hell — A gatling gun (two handed maybe?) that lets you expend charges to attack multiple times, leading to lots of damage if you save enough up. Maybe have it overheat if you expend enough which lets it deal extra fire damage?

5) Divine Favor — This handheld orb was a gift given directly from a higher deity to a hero as reward for incredible deeds; only the creature to whom the Favor was awarded may use it. They can expend the Favor to replicate the effects of a Cleric's Divine Intervention feature, with the DM determining the result of their request, often flavored to fit the domain of the deity.

6) Bounty Blaster — A firearm in the vein of a cowboy hunting rifle or six-shot revolver, built specifically for monster hunting. It brands creatures it hits, making them easier to track and take down.

7) Crash of Revolution — A maul made from the cornerstone of a corrupt king’s castle, torn down by revolutionaries. The item is emblazoned with the revolutionaries’ banner and infused with the hope of a whole nation, which provides supernatural courage and resolve.
