This golden cicada husk is inscribed with tiny arcane runes. You can use a bonus action to crush the husk, destroying it, and immediately gain 10 temporary hit points. When you do, you can also end one of the following conditions of your choice affecting you (if any): blinded, deafened, frightened, or poisoned.

For even the plane's common cicadas, what enthusiasts there are wait over a decade for local swarms to reemerge, reborn after lingering beneath the ground.
Then for their golden kin, buried so deep they pass from dirt, to stone, to the earthen plane itself. How long would one linger? To grow their precious shells is measured not in years but lifetimes, yet their brief emergence is such a time of wonder that some folk survive just long enough to see it once.
And in such wonder, even their castoff shells fill the hollow lives of the people with vibrance.
