While wearing the ring, when you cast a spell with "smite" in its name that requires concentration, you can choose to cast it without concentrating on the spell. When you do, the spell ends at the end of your turn. You can't use this property if you're already concentrating on a spell with "smite" in its name.
In addition, the first time you make an attack on your turn and are concentrating on a paladin spell, you have advantage on the attack roll. Furthermore, once on each of your turns when you hit a target, you can add your Charisma modifier to the damage dealt to that target by a spell or feature with "smite" in its name. If it's a feature, you must have expended a spell slot on it to gain this benefit.
