Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Ideas

1) Shadow and Gloom — While wearing this pitch black waistcoat and its matching scissors, you take on a translucent appearance and have advantage on Stealth checks while in dim light or shadow. You can use the scissors to sever a creature's shadow, causing them to despair and attempt to claw it back. In addition, you can sever your own shadow, allowing you to see through it, moving invisibly through shadows.

2) Chatter's Teapot — A tea pot that can brew several serving of tea that can replicate the effects of the calm emotions spell. It communicates telepathically to any creature around it with a welcoming and encouraging voice that is eager to hear about the day's events.

3) Submerged Reins — This heavy necklace is made from thick seaweed with small water lilies blooming around the edges, granting you water breathing while wearing it. You can cast the find steed spell, summoning a white warhorse whose mane is made of seaweed, can run across any water surface, breathes water and air, and has a swim speed. While mounted, you can use an action to attempt to magically drown a creature you can see.

4) Quantumfly Buckler — This round shield features a stained glass butterfly at its center. When you or another creature is hit with an attack, you can use your reaction to expend some of the shield's charges to temporarily increase the target's AC by drawing on energy from alternative timelines. Doing so comes at a risk of taking damage as expended timelines collide.

5) Moonlit Aegis — The silver of this moon-accented splint armor faintly glows under moonlight. You learn the moonbeam spell, and always have it prepared. As a reaction, you can expend a charge to retaliate against melee attacks with radiant damage.

6) Elemental Cartridge — This tin box is designed to hold up to six of your firearm bullets. Daily at dawn, any bullets stored in the tin gain elemental properties and deal bonus elemental damage to any targets hit by them.

7) Magitech Gauntlets — Stained metal gauntlets with magical orbs acting as its power source. You gain a bonus to attack and damage rolls with them for your unarmed strikes. You can also attempt to deal additional force damage at the risk overusing the power source, causing the gauntlets to not function for some time.
