Weapon (shortbow), rare (requires attunement)
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. Arrows shot from the bow become coated in dark ink, which vanishes after 1 minute. When you hit a creature with an arrow shot from the bow and roll a 6 on the weapon's damage die, that creature's vision becomes muddied by the ink, provided it isn't immune to being blinded. A creature with muddied vision makes attack rolls with disadvantage until the end of its next turn or until a creature within its reach uses an action to wipe away the ink and clear its vision.
The bow has 3 charges and regains all expended charges daily at dawn. You can use an action to fire an arrow from the bow at a point that you can see within its normal range and expend 1 of the weapon's charges. When you do, you recreate the effects of the black tentacles spell (save DC 15) centered on that point. This version of the spell doesn't require concentration and ends at the start of your next turn. If you roll a 6 on any of the spell's damage dice, the affected creatures' visions become muddied.
And I shall visit upon you a darkness beyond the sea's blackest depths, and you shall know the crushing weight those above water are blessed to live without.
