Wondrous item, uncommon
This fist-sized bomb is made of molten rock. You can use an action to throw the bomb at a point that you can see within 30 feet of you. The bomb explodes on impact and is destroyed, at which point it summons 1d4 magmins to the nearest unoccupied spaces within 10 feet of the point; each creature within 10 feet of the point must also make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 2d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. The blast ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.
The magmins are under no one's control and act as a group. Roll initiative for the magmins when they appear. Each summoned magmin remains for 1 minute or until it's reduced to 0 hit points. When the last magmin disappears, there is a 25 percent chance that another mini magmin mortar appears in its space.
I know it's in the nature of fire to spread, but do they have to be so... eager?
