Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Beautiful Bentō Box — A wooden box with a warm lunch packed neatly inside. A creature can eat the meal to restore hit points and providing daily nourishment. A new meal appears in the box each day and is always fresh.

2) Chatter's Teapot — A tea pot that can brew several serving of tea that can replicate the effects of the calm emotions spell. It communicates telepathically to any creature around it with a welcoming and encouraging voice that is eager to hear about the day's events.

3) The Blight — This twisted whip is formed from the dead, coiled vines of an evil plant. It deals additional necrotic damage and forces plant creature to save or be blighted, dealing extra damage on subsequent turns. If a plant creature dies while blighted, there is a chance the blight is spread to nearby creatures. While attuned to the whip, small plants rot at your touch.

4) Quantumfly Buckler — This round shield features a stained glass butterfly at its center. When you or another creature is hit with an attack, you can use your reaction to expend some of the shield's charges to temporarily increase the target's AC by drawing on energy from alternative timelines. Doing so comes at a risk of taking damage as expended timelines collide.

5) Wing of Morality — This charred stump of some kind of a wing can be attuned, which attaches it to your back and grows into a full sized wing, granting you a flying speed equal to half your walking speed that works in short bursts. The wing's appearance depends on your alignment, as does the spell you are able to cast from it: dimension door for Good, greater invisibility for Neutral, or banishment for Evil.

6) Spear of the Minotaur — The head of the spear features hooked horns to latch onto its targets. When you hit a target with a ranged attack with this weapon, you can expend a charge to immediately rush towards the target, dealing damage to anything in your path and the spear returns to your hand.

7) Solar's Orchid — This flower creates magical pollen, which in turn makes it hard to either tell or discern lies by those who breathe the pollen in. Alternatively, making a tea with the flower grants you a bonus to Persuasion checks when you drink it. The flower can be replanted and harvested after one year.
