This item function as a normal spyglass, except that by looking through them you can also see 30 feet into the Ethereal Plane. Ethereal creatures and objects appear ghostly and translucent. Furthermore, if a creature that you can see through the trinoculars is telepathically communicating with another creature or is charmed or possessed, its head appears surrounded by purple fog. Looking through the trinoculars requires an action.
Set the eyes of the material on what is distant, and the eyes of the mind on what is near. Through this may you see your worldly goal clearly, yet chart your path through the mists of the spiritual.
