Hey heroes!
Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.
You can submit your ideas on Discord, too! Come join us in the #patron-item-workshop channel!
You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.
Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!
Ideas
1) Meteorite Button — An amulet that causes the wearer to fall faster, taking more damage from falling. You can pin it to another creature with a grapple check.
2) Nana’s Wooden Spoon — This well-worn wooden spoon can be used to make a meal over a short rest. Creatures who eat that meal gain 1d10 temporary hit points and make their next saving throw with advantage. In addition, you can force a creature into a time out, as they are charmed to sit cross-legged, granting advantage on attacks against them.
3) Tidebreaker Axe — This worn axe has shark teeth affixed to its blade, and deals piercing damage instead of slashing. Once per rage, you may force a creature to attack you instead of an ally near you. You can also follow a creature that moves away from you.
4) The Kitchen Sink — This musket has a comically wide flared end. It can fire standard ammunition, but can also be loaded with materials at the start of the day. You can violently expel those materials as an action, blasting them in a cone to damage your foes.
5) Weave Spooler — This spear can shrink to the size of a dagger. When a creature near you casts a spell, the spear gains charges equal to the level of the spell. You can expend charges to deal additional force damage or throw the spear to create a concussive blast, expending all charges.
6) H'rethi Persistence — These thin sandals ornamented with glass beads allow you to remain unaffected by difficult terrain caused by sand, and various other benefits in harsh sandstorm conditions. Your unarmed strikes with your feet also extra fire damage, and you can create a magical area around you that becomes desert-like, allowing you to increase your AC, prevent forced movement, and heavily obscure the area.
7) Hallowed Scroll of Warding — A scroll that is enveloped in consecrated protection texts and ribbons. While attuned, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and effects from fiends and undead. Additionally, you can expend charges to increase the DC of your Channel Divinity class features until there are no charges remaining.
Keep on adventuring!
