Weapon (blowgun), rare (requires attunement)
This metal blowgun can collapse down to a more portable size when not in use. Whenever you make a ranged attack with it, it fires a special needle instead of a normal one; the needle is magnetically charged and bound to the blowgun. Immediately after making an attack with the blowgun, the needle returns to the blowgun, reloading itself in the process. As a result, the blowgun lacks the loading property and can't be used with normal ammunition; you can still remove the needle and reload it as normal. If the needle is lost, it magically reappears in the blowgun at the next dawn.
On a hit, the blowgun deals an extra 2d4 fire damage; if either of these d4s roll a 4, the target is surrounded by a glowing outline. The outline remains until the end of your next turn or until the target is hit with an attack. Until then, attack rolls against the target are made with advantage, and the target can't benefit from being invisible.
The needle hung in place for a moment, still glowing with radiant heat. Then it pulled back—zipping through the air and trailing gristle in its wake—until finally landing back in the barrel of a blowgun.
The blowgun then let loose a hiss of steam, and the person holding it prepared another breath.
