Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)
This ragged shawl is stitched to a threadbare hood and mantle using scraps of found clothing. A brass pin holds the shawl together. When found, 1d4 + 2 pieces of found clothing have been stitched together to make the shawl. You have resistance to necrotic damage and are proficient with weaver's tools while wearing it.
The shawl has a number of charges equal to the scraps of clothing stitched to it. When you hit a creature with an attack while wearing the shawl, you can expend 1 of its charges to deal an extra 1d10 necrotic damage from the attack; a scrap of clothing immediately turns to ash and falls from the shawl.
The shawl magically attaches any scraps of clothing you have on your person to it daily at dawn, up to a maximum total of 6 scraps; it also regains the same number of charges. For a scrap to be eligible, it must be from a different creature that's died within the last 24 hours, and it must be within one to two feet across in each dimension. When a scrap is attached in this way, its appearance magically transforms to match the hood and mantle.
Sew the cloth from foes of yore,
Their pockets each wetted with crimson and gore.
Wrap yourself tightly and feel their embrace,
Remember their eyes as life drained from their face! And when the time comes to slaughter once more
Sew the cloth just as before.
