Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Safire Shakuhachi — This bamboo rod has holes carved to allow it to be played as an instrument as well as used as a weapon. When you roll a 20 on an attack roll, a burst of fey magic fills the air around you, granting allies temporary hit points and potentially poisoning enemies.

2) Ambrosia — A thick liquid in an ornate decanter that instills a feeling of fulfillment and grants several benefits for limited time, such as increased size and ability scores, damage resistances, and the aura similar to a deity.

3) Pteroscythe — A sickle made from pterodactyl wing bones. It has the thrown property and will return to your hand after you throw it to attack, and damaging a creature with a flying speed will reduce their flying speed.

4) Tawny's Fantastical Fidget — This small set of interlocking rings can be arranged in endless configurations but can't ever be separated. Spending 24 hours over 3 days or fewer studying the rings grants you proficiency in Sleight of Hand, after which the rings' magic grows inert for a decade.

5) Meteorite Button — An amulet that causes the wearer to fall faster, taking more damage from falling. You can pin it to another creature with a grapple check.

6) Morwen’s Merry Mantle — A festive cape with wintery decoration of snowflakes, mistletoe, and flying reindeer stitched into its fabric. While wearing the cape, you are protected from extreme cold, and can spend an action to pull one of the reindeer off to cast the find steed spell, summoning a flying reindeer that uses the elk statistics.

7) Majordomo's Staff — An ebony staff topped with a pewter ball. You can use a command to transform it between a staff and a cane. You can also spend charges to cast unseen servant to get 1 or more servants.
