Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Wanderer's Rucksack — The worn canvas bag holds a mundane item in a hidden pocket space. However, when it is opened, the bag steals a mundane item from the character's inventory to replace that trinket.

2) Safire Shakuhachi — This bamboo rod has holes carved to allow it to be played as an instrument as well as used as a weapon. When you roll a 20 on an attack roll, a burst of fey magic fills the air around you, granting allies temporary hit points and potentially poisoning enemies.

3) Storm Sail Gauntlet — These intricate gauntlets are patterned with lightning bolt motifs. When a creature takes lightning damage, you can use your reaction to teleport to them, as your body briefly turns into an arc of lightning. You can also use your reaction to travel the length of a natural or magical lightning strike near you.

4) Shroud of the Unsanctified — This cloak is comprised of gauze and grants the wearer resistance to necrotic damage. In addition, you can grant temporary hit points to creatures that are unable to regain hit points, including undead.

5) Spider's Rest — A hammock made from spider silk, it can be hung from any two points ten feet apart. Someone laying in it can wrap themselves in a comfortable cocoon to guarantee they won't fall out.

6) Gravestitcher's Shroud — This macabre cloak is made from the bloodied clothes of fallen creatures. It has charges represented by patches that can be used to deal extra necrotic damage, which disintegrate after being used. If you have Weaver's Tools, you can sew new pieces of clothing onto the cloak to regain a charges.

7) Voots — Footwear made from various sized pebbles that can be either boots or shin guards. You can stomp the ground to stun those in the shockwave and create an electrically charged area, reducing all creatures speed and bolstering yours.
