Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Sleet Blades — These sharpened skates have a knife edge and are cold to the touch. You can use them to make melee attacks, treating them as sickles with the finesse property that deal extra cold damage. Difficult terrain caused by ice doesn't affect you, and you can choose to temporarily freeze water you are standing on in a narrow path.

2) Cap of the Burrowbun — A soft, furry hat with two tassels resembling the ears of a rabbit. While wearing the hat you gain a burrowing speed and can cast the jump spell on yourself with a duration of 1 hour.

3) Mask of the Agile Ghoul — This rabbit like mask increases your movement speed and jump distance, but forces you to cannibalize once a month.

4) Mask of the Quetzal — An ostentatious mask that was worn by a warrior known for their performative fighting style. While attuned, you have a Charisma score of 17 (unless it's already higher), your unarmed strikes deal increased damage, and you can make ability checks to grapple creatures with advantage. In addition, you can leap into the air to land on your foes, dealing damage in an area, and you can challenge a creature to fight you one-on-one.

5) Rhythmic Piccolo — You gain a bonus to Charisma (Performance) checks you make with this flute. You can play the flute for 1 minute to grant an ally within range temporary hit points equal to a roll of your Bardic Inspiration die, which last until you stop playing.

6) Meteorite Button — An amulet that causes the wearer to fall faster, taking more damage from falling. You can pin it to another creature with a grapple check.

7) Spectral Falconer’s Glove and Pauldron — These paired pauldron and gauntlet hold the spirits of falcons. You can summon the pauldron's falcon to cast the true seeing spell on yourself. You can summon the gauntlet's falcon, having it fly forward, damaging all creatures in it's path and casting casting the hunter's mark spell on each of them.
