Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Mourningsteel Reaper — The blade of this massive scythe is rough and jagged, hewn from several small pieces of metal. If you are a barbarian, the scythe deals extra necrotic damage. If you are a fighter, you can use your reaction to parry melee attacks, dealing necrotic damage if you cause the attack to miss.

2) Returning Shot — Instead of reloading this crossbow, you can throw it as a bonus action to deal damage. After throwing, it immediately flies back to your hand with ammunition loaded.

3) True Troubadour's Tribute — This hat was worn by a legendary bard. Wearing it increases you Charisma score, and gives you an extra bardic inspiration die that can be used once every turn.

4) Red Mail of War — This dented and bloodstained armor was taken from a celestial harbinger of strife and ruin. Wearing it grants you the ability to cast spells such as flame strike and phantom steed, as well as drive an enemy to turn against their allies.

5) Tenth Circle — A powerful, sickly sword that revels in various blood sacrifices. Its single eye can paralyze or strike fear into foes that look at it, as well as rejuvenate allies using your life force.

6) Gloomwood Arrow — A magical arrow made from a gloomwood tree. Creatures hit by this arrow can become frightened of you, potentially having their speed reduced. A creature that dies while frightened by this arrow transforms slowly into a gloomwood tree.

7) Majordomo's Staff — An ebony staff topped with a pewter ball. You can use a command to transform it between a staff and a cane. You can also spend charges to cast unseen servant to get 1 or more servants.
