Ho-ho-h'okay, a Delay on the DDB Release (Everything's Fine)

Hey everyone!

I wanted to give you all an update regarding the DnDBeyond release of The Griffon's Saddlebag: Book Two. Because of the feedback you gave en masse (and some sharply worded emails from me), DDB has had to reallocate its development staff to work on updating the site's infrastructure. This shift in priority is good. While it does mean that Book Two will be delayed until early- to mid- December, it also means that the relationship between the 2014 and 2024 rules will be much smoother for everyone on the platform.

I'm happy to wait for this, personally, and while I know many of you are excited to get the book's items into your DDB adventures, I'm sure you can see the good in the delay as well.

That's all for now! As always, you're my heroes, and I couldn't do this without you. Thank you for the kind words and support leading up to this release! I'm as excited as you are for it.

Keep on adventuring!

I run a physical in person game and want to use physical cards. I know I can print them, but have you or are you going to create physical card box sets??

Jonathan Keck

Sadly no, there isn't a system in place for that. The first week the book is available, though, there'll be a discount on it to help account for some of that though!

The Griffon's Saddlebag

Perhaps a dumb question, but if we have physical/pdf purchases of the book will we get some sort of discount code? Or is this another purchase?

ALEX Z

Sometime probably mid- to late- next year, if I were to harbor a *guess*. But that's such a nebulous estimate on my end.

The Griffon's Saddlebag

Excellent! Any date connected with that, even an estimate?

David Armstrong

It is! Other 3PP have their content in line before then, but YES, Book One is in the queue!

The Griffon's Saddlebag

That's great, can't wait! But... is book ONE coming to DND Beyond? I'm a completionist, and would prefer to get book one before book two.
