Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Riptide Greaves — These leather-bound greaves are each adorned with a single large green fin. While wearing them underwater you gain a swim speed, if you already have one it increases instead. Additionally, you can expend the greaves charges to cast a variety of spells from them.

2) Spider's Rest — A hammock made from spider silk, it can be hung from any two points ten feet apart. Someone laying in it can wrap themselves in a comfortable cocoon to guarantee they won't fall out.

3) Want of Lightning Bolts — A wand that functions like a wand of lightning bolts but can instead cast other lightning spells at random.

4) Silvercloud Bomb — A silver, draconic bomb that explodes into a magical mist that behaves like a solid. You can use the mist to craft all sorts of solid shapes, like walls, sculptures, and more. A creature within the area of the bomb can attempt to escape its area with a successful save. Otherwise, it's trapped within the area.

5) The Forgotten Music Box — A strange music box that can cause creatures who hear it to become frightened. If the box is damaged, the last creature who turned the crank is beset by a nightmare that prevents long rest.

6) Frostbite Snowflakes — A scarf stylized with snowflakes that can summon and throw icy throwing stars (daggers) in the shape of a snowflake. Creatures hit by these attacks have their speed cumulatively reduced and take cold damage each turn unless they use an action to remove the icy shards.

7) Quantumfly Blade — A rapier with a butterfly guard that pulls instances of itself from other realities. On a hit, it deals extra psychic damage. You can expend charges to make extra strikes with it but be careful, though: you may suffer psychic damage yourself when doing so.
