Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!
Ideas
1) Swapshot Arrow — This glass-shaft arrow shatters on impact, forcing a target to succeed on a saving throw or swap places with you.
2) Lodestone Bolts — A magical quiver that can convert any metal bolts stored within it into ones charged with magnetic force. Once a turn when you hit a target with one of these bolts, you can force it to make a saving throw to be either pull or pushed up to 10 feet toward or away from you, as the bolt reacts to the polarity of the quiver at your side.
3) Quicksilver Bolt — The head of this bolt is hollow and filled with quicksilver. When a shapechanger is hit by it, they must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or revert to their true form and be poisoned for 1 hour. While poisoned, that creature can't use its change shape trait and takes 1d4 poison damage every minute.
4) Blossom Ammunition — A small twig with blossoming flowers that function as an arrow, bolt, or needle. Creatures hit with it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take poison damage and be poisoned. While poisoned in this way, a target gains the Plant creature type.
5) Echo Locator — Fletched with bat wing leather, this ammunition emits high-pitched clicks. It deals extra thunder damage when it hits a target and again on each round until a creature uses an action to remove it. The audible clicking allows you to sense a target as if you had blindsight.
6) Scare-row — This arrow is fletched with the straw of an awakened scarecrow, holding part of the evil spirit inside. Creatures hit by it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be paralyzed with fear until the end of your next turn.
7) Beast Bolt — These bolts have a broad arrowhead carved with the likeness of a beast. It rarity changes depending on the CR of creature carved into it. When it hits a target, the head shatters and releases the depicted beast which is hostile to the target.

2023-07-25 10:56:38 +0000 UTCThe blossom ammo and quicksilver bolt are some of my favs, can definitely see where I'd use them. Not to mention making something a plant type with a Blight-happy cleric nearby, fingers crossed!
