Alternate Thumbnails for Valley Girl Witch/Goth girl

After the non-stop horror videos of October, I wanted to start the month of November fresh with one of my favorite characters, Valley Girl Witch! In this video she met up with The Conduit for their long-promised Gelato date!

Not to play favorites, but of all The Lovely Little Witches introduced (not counting Goth Girl), Valley Girl might be my favorite! She's, like, so chill mannn. She's a nice middle ground between the more fantastical concepts of the Witch series and The Vampire Saga, and she's really fun to play!

Rather than telling a full story, I wanted this vid to feel like a conversation between two friends. I've always liked slice-of-life anime's, and if you're unfamiliar with that genre, those shows tend to be more about day-to-day life rather than telling a set story. As I've gotten further into The Vampire Saga, I've developed a love for both the "lore" vids, and the nice, upbeat one's like this.

As ya'll have seen, The world of the Helsing's has a lot of spooky, dark things in it, but there will always be those like Valley Girl and all the Little Witches that make the world a bit brighter!

In this Goth Girl vid, I took it all the way back to the beginning! Before The Lady In the Woods, before The Vampire, there was only Goth Girl and The Conduit. I've established that they're both college age, so I wanted their first meeting to be in class.

Goth Girl is, by and large, my most fleshed out character. And she's grown a lot since she was first introduced, so I thought it'd be fun to show where she came from! I saw a couple comments saying she was kinda mean in this one and I thought that was really funny because Goth Girl has always been a little mean lol. At least, to everyone who's not The Conduit!

If you go back and look at some of my earliest vids pre-greenscreen, you'll see that Goth Girl was one of my earliest characters before I started to up the production values. I believe there's 2 Goth Girl vids that I didn't include in The Vampire Saga playlist, but I consider those completely canon to The Vampire Saga. But they were made before I had the bigger picture in mind, so consider them a secret prequel!

The biggest lore drop in this vid is that Goth Girl's real name is not, in fact, Goth Girl. Nor is her sister really named The Vampire slayer. The concept of name's having power is not a new one, and considering all the ghoulies that appear in the story, it would make sense that The Helsing's would take every precaution to protect their children from supernatural threats.

From a creative perspective, I also prefer giving characters titles rather than full names. It's both easier for me and, at least I think, viewers to remember. Also, by keeping things as uncomplicated as possible, I can fully focus on the narrative without having to think about silly things like who's who lol. Goth Girl is Goth Girl, and her sister is The Vampire Slayer. I do know what their name's are, and maybe in the future I'll expand on that.. but not now!!
