Alternate Thumbnails for Goth Girl/Goth Girls sister. This Goth Girl episode might be my most controversial video lol. It's normal anytime a video is released for a couple viewers to unsubscribe for whatever reason, but when this one went out, I lost a whopping 15 within the first ten minutes! As it turns out, people don't like Oujia boards!

I did a lot of research on Oujia boards and how they work prior to filming this video. Whether or not you believe in the supernatural, I wasn't about to risk accidentally summoning a demon or a ghosty, so I read up on the rules for the "safe" way to use it. This was also reflected in the video itself. While Goth Girl did use the board to ask The Conduit questions, I intentionally didn't have her try to talk to a specific entity or spirit. And I cut this out in the finished video, but I said "bye" about 5 times after I was finished with it lol.

This video was about Goth Girl questioning The Conduit about secrets they've been keeping from her. In this case, The Vampire. In the last post, I talked about how The Vampire has the ability to supernaturally "charm" her victims, but The Conduit has, to some extent, the ability to resist. The Charming was never what Goth Girl had an issue with.

As a Helsing, she knows what the creatures of the night are capable of. For her, it was always a matter of trust. And, although The Conduit had good intentions when they chose not to tell Goth Girl The Vampire was back, that trust was hurt, and so was Goth Girl. I didn't want to linger on it too much in the video, so I addressed it in the next Goth Girl's sister video!

If ya'll haven't seen "You're On Observation Duty," It's a game about paranormal investigators observing houses/facilities etc. and finding paranormal anomalies. For The Slayer, I felt the format of her and The Conduit conducting investigations in this way was an extremely cool idea and I was hyped when making this video!

It's funny, you would think the easy way to film the gameplay sections would be do a live voiceover when playing the game itself! What I did instead was I played and recorded the game on my pc, edited the footage into a roughly 15 minute video, and then when filming the live-action roleplay, when I got to a scene where The Conduit was supposed to be going through cams, I brought my Ipad out and did the voiceover while watching back the footage lol. This may seem a lot more obtuse, but it made it easier for me to stay in character since I was fully dressed as The Slayer and I think it made for a better video!

As for lore content, Slayer largely talked about the difficulties of being a Helsing and the current rise in supernatural activity in the world. She also briefly touched upon her own experiences being a monster hunter who repels monsters, and the challenges that come with that affliction. This was a continuation of a story I wanted to do in "The Devil Is Obsessed With you" video, but aborted due to my not familiarizing the audience with The Slayer as a character. Luckily, a lot of people saw this one, which in turn makes it a heck of a lot easier to continue her story in the future!

Slayer also addressed The Vampire situation with The Conduit, and both acknowledged that The Conduit made a mistake, but also, she gets it. Much like my audience loves The Vampire character, A Helsing recognizes the allure and danger of creatures like her. Scary!
