Girl at The Back Of The Class videos are a really popular ASMR trope. Why? No idea! If I had to guess, it probably has a certain nostalgia to it that evokes feelings from when we were younger. For this video, I thought it'd be a fun idea to have the kind of girl that generally appears in these videos and take her out of the class. Setting the video at the Girl's home created an instantly more intimate environment while subverting the way these types of videos usually go.

The video starts out relatively harmless, The Conduit and The Girl are working on a school project and things are going smoothly. For context, while I haven't officially established how old The Conduit is and never will because I don't think it's super important, I always imagined them and the Helsing sisters being roughly college age, so vaguely 20-something.

Soon into the video, The Girl asks to take The Conduit's picture, and every time The Conduit turns her down, she soon asks again. When it comes to horror, I tend to prefer a slow-burn, increasingly stifling atmosphere that creeps up on the viewer. I want it to feel like, by the time they realize what's going on, it's too late and they're already caught up in the horror of the situation.

The plot points of her taking pictures of other students and even her parents and trapping them is an idea I've kicked around for a while. Often when I make these kinds of videos, while I recognize that they're part of a larger whole, I think of them as a self-contained short story, and I want you to feel how The Conduit feels in the moment. Scared, confused, but also with a fascination of where it's all going. I think this video is a really good example of there being horror in the mundane, and having the antagonist be relatively normal, if incredibly misguided, portrays that. Because, at the end of day, she's just a Girl at The back Of The Class.

In this video, The Hero continues their journey and ends up at a settlement for the Lamb girl in the video. After the relative heaviness of the Elf Barmaiden video, I wanted this one to be fairly light-hearted and feel like some good ol' fashioned ASMR.

This video was a passion project I've wanted to put out for some time, and I'm really glad with how it turned out! As I'm sure you'll notice, I don't put out a ton of Hero videos compared to Vampire Saga or even Lovely Little Witch, and that's because I don't force them. The Hero world is one I enjoy visiting, and I always want to make sure I maintain the quality for them they deserve. So if I don't have any strong ideas for them at the moment, I simply do something else, and that's a method that I think has worked really well for me!

I'm always surprised by how much people like this series! Even though new entries are released every now and then, I'm always seeing viewers make Halo 3 references and talk about the absurdity of The Hero. That and Elf Assassin lol. But I think a real strength of The Hero is how relatable they are, and having a character that's very easy to project yourself on to has created a lasting impression with my core viewers.
