FAQ: Declined payment
Added 2016-10-01 19:22:12 +0000 UTCMy payment was declined by Patreon. What should I do?
This could be caused by several reasons:
- Your credit card's company or banking declined transactions for Patreon. You'd need to contact your credit card's publisher and ask them how to fix it, or change your credit card.
- You are using a debit card that is not connected or registered as available for online transaction. Contact your bank to see what you should do about it.
- You don't have enough money in your bank account. Put some money into it and fix your payment setting. This will revert your status back to pending.
- You put in wrong information for your cards. Double check it.
After a fix in your credit card's info, please don't forget to retry the card. This will revert your status back to Pending and Patreon will come check it again within 48 hours.
