A long last, a dev blog !

Hello there !!!
  I know I haven't made too much posts lately, sorry for that... So hey, let's fix that with a dev blog, and speak a bit of what happening for the game !
It's been a little messy since the previous update, with the end of year being mostly vacations to see people. And between commissions and IRL stuff, I've been pretty busy for the start of the year too. But it doesn't mean I haven't done any progress though, don't worry for that !
Let's dive into all this !


New scenes :
  I've spoken quite a few times of what were my plans for 0.10, but let's make a quick recap : Expand on the content of 0.09, by adding scenes with the new characters and Ursula, make you able to finish their sidequest and get all the papers needed. And also be done with the update to Illonia's new body, so all scenes feature her now.

So all the new scenes planned are :

-Illonia with Skadis (and maybe Bambi). As a way to let them have fun and get the bandits' orders. Or just for the pleasure.

-Illonia with Doggob & Gobdog. Same as the previous one, but for the goblins.

-A scene with Ursula, as a thanks for bringing her back both papers. It may be with Lothar or Illonia, or maybe both. I'll do a poll to see what to do !

-The defeat scene for the goblins and the male bandit. Those are still the old ones with Ilonia's base body.  Time to change that.

-The small scene you can get in the tent. If you want to have a nice little fuck with Illonia, actually, you'll still have the old scenes with her base body. Gonna change that too.

-The threesome with Eris. Once again, it's Illonia's old model that show in this one. But since I really liked the base scene, I decided to keep the same and just update Illonia's model in it, as well as add animation. But contrary to the previous ones, which are brand new scenes, this one be basically the same as the old one.

Well, that's a good chunk I'd say ! So what is done for the moment ?
  I've finished all the tent scenes, as well as the one where you get defeated by the goblin. And I'm working on the rework of the scene with Eris. So there's still a good chunk left to do. But now that I do the animations and try to make the overall scene look better, I spend more time on those. But I'm really happy with the ones I've done this far !!!


  The new goblin scene is specially cool I'd say. For the spice, I decided to go for a foursome (the gobbo saw a poor defenseless Illonia and decided to call in some friends). I also used the small size of the gobbos (and their small dicks) to have a more acrobatic scene. The animations was really a pain to make, but it's probably my favorite anim I've ever done ! But I'll let you be the judge of all that.
The Allegiance system :
  Implemented in 0.09, the allegiance mechanic is pretty cool, and will have more and more uses as the game grow. But for now, it was a bit confusing on how you could get points, and how many points you were supposed to have to get bonuses, and all that. Even after adding a book in the full release to give some tips about it, it still was pretty confusing.

  So I've worked to make it more clear. I've rewritten the book, so now it should be more helpful, and also, I've added ranks to the system. How a faction will like you will be determined by your allegiance rank with them (currently, they go from -3 to 3, and you start at 0). And of course, all the ranks come with cool little names relative to the faction they're linked !

   Currently, there only are effects if you are rank -1 or 1, but I'm setting up things for later. You can watch your rank with each faction in their section of the Encyclopedia, and you'll also have a small notification when you change your rank. So with all that, understanding the allegiance mechanic should be smoother.
Small other things :
  A friend that helped me a lot when I started this project came back to help not long ago, so we took  a complete look at the game, to check all bugs or misspeling errosr there could be, and fix those. It was a really painful work, but it's done. There's probably still some things we missed here and there, but it was a good opportunity to fix some things.

  I also found a good solution to one of my oldest problems : how to fix old version problems when you're using an old save. Basically if I forgot to change a variable in an older version, you could get locked when I progress further in the game. Of course I fix those bugs in every update, but if you're using an old save, the problem still remains. So I had to add some random events here and there just to make sure everything works correctly. And it's making the whole code much more complex than it needs ^^'
  Thankfully, I've found an asset that allow me to run some events when you load a new save, so I can immediatly fix the problems here, instead of making fixes at specific spots hoping it'll be enough. Not sure if I'm really clear, but in short, that's gonna help a ton.

   Also, since I have a way to load an event when you load a new save, I took this opportunity to add a short resume of what you did and what you need to do for the main quest. This way, when you're trying a new version, it should remind you a bit of where you are in the game. I'm trying to make this a really short version though, a single text box. Because I don't want to have everyone sit through ten times the same text every time, specially when you're saving and going back a lot to test things. So trying to find a balance between useful and quick.      


Well, I think that should cover most of the work I've done recently ! I have a few commissions remaining, but overall I'll mainly dedicate to the game until the nxt update roll out. I want to release next month, but we'll see how things go ! I hope you're happy with the progress I made, and are looking forward to 0.10 ! I certainly do !
