A little something that popped into my head

My mind takes some weird turns from time to time.

Case in point: These two YouTube videos about the Star Wars universe.

For some reason, I started hearing President Trump whenever they said Emperor Palpatine. It casts the story in a different light, lemme tell ya. I swear to God, if MAGA types start talking about how the force is strong with the president, I'm outta here.

With that in mind, a story idea started forming. Working title: King of America. Only Gary Robinson becomes king, not Donald Trump.

Here's what I've got so far. Lemme know what ya think.

According to the history books, the Battle of Memphis was the turning point of the Second American Revolution.

It wasn't much of a battle, based on what I remember. We crossed the bridge and pulled up at the checkpoint manned by National Guardsmen who'd been called up by the president to maintain order. The Guard commander welcomed us and surrendered the city without a shot being fired.

We even had time to hit a rib joint Marvin Johnson recommended.
