This shoot with Joey Darke was a full-on creative experiment—and one of the most fun sessions I’ve done in a while.
We started with an all-white concept: white backdrop, white clothing, and even white makeup on Joey’s eyebrows and eyelashes. The whole thing felt like stepping into a dream—or maybe a hallucination.
Then we shifted into some heavier territory. One part of the shoot pulled from the over-the-top aesthetic of 80s rock videos—loud, dramatic, and a little surreal. From there, it turned grittier, channeling a raw 90s Nine Inch Nails kind of energy. Joey brought a giant fly as a prop, which totally shifted the mood into something darker and more chaotic.
We also experimented with pantyhose stretched over her face, which added this distorted, almost unsettling feel. It walked that line between wild and creepy in a way that was weirdly beautiful.
This one was all about play, surprise, and pushing into strange territory. Hope you enjoy diving into it.
Cheers!
