Shooting with Manya – A Happy Accident

I had the chance to work with French model Manya while she was visiting the States, and this shoot was an absolute blast. We played around with gobos to create some really unique lighting effects, and I love how the images turned out.

Funny enough, the cover photo—my favorite from this set—was almost scrapped. My flash misfired, leaving the frame nearly black, but somehow my camera still captured just enough data for me to pull it back in editing. Total accident, but one I’m glad happened because the final image has a mood I wouldn’t have planned for.
