2025-11-12 07:48:17 +0000 UTCFunny story about this episode - back when it first aired, ABC had set up a full night of "Lost" viewing starting at 8:00pm with a one-hour series recap called "Lost: Final Chapter" then the 2-hour season premiere and then at 11:30pm the Jimmy Kimmel talk show had Lost show runners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse as guests to talk about the premiere (and Jimmy was a huge Lost fan). At the beginning of the interview they said something like, "So, we saw that it was revealed that Locke was in fact the Smoke Monster...." but, unfortunately for the live studio audience, they tape the Jimmy Kimmel show in the afternoon BEFORE the Lost premiere had aired so no one in the audience had actually seen the episode yet and there was an audible groan from the audience because they had all been spoiled. LOL.
