If the whole story of game 2 were to be 1 season, saving the porch scene probably would make sense. But Druckmann recently said that game 2 will be seasons 2, 3...and also 4. Considering at least a 2 year break between seasons, saving the porch scene for at least 4-5 years wouldn't probably work.

2025-05-22 03:17:35 +0000 UTCHmm, they definitely adapted all these scenes very well, but I am kind of surprised at the placement of the porch scene - In the game it was the *very last scene* of the whole thing! It was basically a last bit of solace to find out at the very end that they didn't leave off as badly as you thought they had; which you really kinda needed after the finishing the game... Kinda worried for how they'll leave us off at the end of the next season, now that they already gave us the scene this soon...
