After the last episode, I remember saying, aloud "At least they didn't do the wolf's head thing" and then this episode came along ... why did I watch this show knowing all that was coming???

Oh a fun fact behind the scene: Iwan Rheon, the actor of Ramsey, said he ate too much sausages during that scene with Theon 😂😂 they did so many takes and he threw up after that 🤣

Ramsay and his men burned down Winterfell and then publicly blamed the Ironborn. They promised the Ironborn that they would let them leave if they surrendered Winterfell and handed Theon over, but obviously they lied and killed them anyway.

So the Ironborn burned down Winterfell then tried to escape but were captured by Ramsey or so I believe. Then Bolton's army took over Winterfell.

Brienne may not have learned yet about Cat and Robb's deaths but she definitely knows that something bad was going to happen to them. Back when she and Jaime were dining with Roose Bolton, and their discussion there. If Roose wasn't sending Jaime immediately back to Robb, but instead allowing him to be taken to Kings Landing, then Brienne knew that Bolton was betraying Robb to make some sort of deal with Tywin. Not that she was OK with that but she couldn't really do anything about it since she was a prisoner herself and she was also honor-bound to bring Jaime back to KL.

I think it’s funny that you disagreed with Stannis compairing conquering with dragons to blood magic but in the lore its strongly suggested that the Valyrians did use blood magic to bind the dragons to them. That would mean the Targaryen ability to ride dragons is blood magic.

First you feel sorry for Jaime, now Theon too. Think you'll ever feel sorry for Joffrey? I mean, he did have to go to bed without supper.
Melissandre was very quick to believe that the threat from the north is greater than the war between the would-be kings. Did she really see something in those flames? Something that convinced her? Or did she see a new opportunity to further her own agenda? Very intriguing...
I just realised: Rob didn't lose a single battle, but lost the war. Daenerys hasn't won a single battle, but is getting stronger all the time. An interesting contrast.

Dany is truly a mother. Season 1 ended with her and now this.
The flayed men is the sigil for house bolton who ramsay and roose are apart of. Thats why theon was being tortured like that. Thats there style and its kind of crazy one to have represent your'e house.
