Iirc, he also knows she has some kind of soul skills, at least I remember him hinting she might be allowed to look at a famous soul mage's notes if she becomes his apprentice. So it's not really a stretch to think the horrors who are soul manifestations gave a soul mage extra xp.

Tolkien This story is magical (pun intended) and clearly you are some sort of wizard for writing it. Therefore, it must be understood, you cannot be late. Even though this is a rehash of the forest arc it ads character to Tabitha and Pacore in a way that draws us in and builds for the next arc. Incredible chapter and I'm so excited for the next one

It was a nice counterpoint to Aaliyah sitting between her parents with a hand given to each of them. Which makes a lot of sense because, no joke, that trip was brutal. The decompression is going to be nuts.

Honestly, doing a reread and I miss how often we used to get updates on the status page. I mean, it was a lot, so maybe not that much, but we haven't seen it in a bit, so it, in all of its texty glory would be appreciated.

If she skips over things about soul horrors in particular, it pinpoints her as having a soul-related capability that she's hiding. I'd just not mention the soul horrors down there, and at the end Pacore says "but why all the levels" and Aaliyah says "we can't talk about that".
