Angel 2x15 - full reaction

Interesting perspective on Angel being in hell. For some reason they tend to gloss over this aspect of Angel's history. Like, they acknowledge he's been to hell, but in "Dear Boy," Cordelia says, "He can't be having a growth spurt at 248." and Angel respond, "247!" So for some reason he doesn't count the time he was there - and maybe he lost track - but you wouldn't think he'd just pick up counting where he left off on Earth. But on the other hand, I don't think "hell" works the same way in the Buffyverse; and they've already established that there's more than one hell "dimension". These don't exist in the theological concepts of you know, be good or you go to hell, where the devil will torture you. These are just other planes of existence; and people can end up there through no fault of their own. Look at Anne of any of the others in the BtVS season 3 episode "Anne". They just went through a portal and were in that one particular hell; not strictly because they deserved to be there or had anything to repent for, but they stayed there until they were too old to work anymore and Ken brought them back to Earth. Even from a theological perspective, it can vary by religion. Hell isn't really referenced in the bible, per se; or at least it's very ambiguous. There's certainly nothing in there say "if you're bad, you'll go to hell for a period of time until you've repented for your sins." If anything that's closer to Catholicism's concept for purgatory, where you would feel nothing, a total absence of everything, for a time based on the actions and righteousness of the person's life; before they move on. Although I don't think anyone would move on from purgatory to hell, because that seems antithetical to the concept of purgatory. But then the core concept of Christianity is the idea of Christ dying for the sins of humanity; and that by virtue of that, all sins past, present and future are washed away and there should be no debt in the afterlife. Some Christian sects will say a prerequisite for this is belief in Jesus as one's spiritual savior, but I recall a passage in the old testament saying that the new covenant would apply to Jews and Gentiles, believers and non-believers, so I don't imagine that would apply. Whether that works for a vampire on the other hand is more difficult to say. Although I do have my own pet theory that crosses don't burn vampires *because* Jesus was crucified on a cross, but rather, Jesus was crucified on a cross *because* crosses burn vampires.....

Is there a schedule around for upcoming reactions? There's a couple episodes I'm really excited to see.
