Buffy 3x20 - full reaction

Somehow I didn't comment on this one yet. I suppose when looked at objectively the actual plot of this episode is just OK. I mean, hell hounds, OK. But I just don't care because there are such great character moments. Xander and Cordelia 🥰 they sort out their problems and are just so mature about it all and I love it! Willow and Oz looking great at the prom! Anya!!! I love Anya, she makes me laugh so much. Buffy and Angel, I mean, it's the right decision but lousy timing. You can tell Angel hasn't dated in a while ;) Apparently after the Buffy and Willow scene they had to take a 20 minute break because SMG couldn't stop crying because she was REALLY going to miss DB 🥺 Buffy and Giles, what is there to say? Giles is somehow able to focus entirely on helping Buffy (with ice cream no less) and ignoring his own feelings (whatever they may be) about Angel. Ever since Helpless he really has been 100% team Buffy 😕 And the prom. Giles stuffing finger good into his mouth nervously glancing at the door, the looks they gave each other when she finally showed up, how proud he looked when they gave her the reward 🥰 The fact the student body knew that she was saving them and acknowledged it and gave her that one perfect high school moment 😭It's just such an incredible feel good moment!!!! And Buffy deserves every second! I don't know if it was a good idea for Angel to show up but so long as Buffy is happy at the end of the day then it's all good. But that moment, when Giles sees Angel comes in, and takes the parasol from her before she's even turned round, and then steps out of frame. One of my favourite little moments in all of television. But I suppose I find the ending slightly bitter sweet. Everybody is on the dance floor, everybody has somebody. Except Giles. It makes my heart ache and I think perhaps he went for a little walk until the last dance was over 😢
