Sketch for Skeb

I'm drawing the last of the five commissions that were accepted by Skeb last time. Please wait a little longer.

Paint changes

In my previous progress report, I mentioned that I was challenging myself to change the production process. After that, I was able to shift to a painting process that I rather like.

How do you like the two illustrations below, where I've completely changed the process? How do you like them? I think they turned out quite cute.

I still have a lot of work to do, so I'd like to continue my research while doing my best.

Painting, I don't know anything.

Painting, it's really difficult to understand. I don't think any professional painter can seriously say " I understand it perfectly".

Even Katsushika Hokusai, on the eve of his death at the age of 90, said, "If I had five more years, I could have become a real painter.

(note:Katsushika Hokusai is an amazing great Japanese painter from about 200 years ago.)

However I tried my best to draw according to the subjects you gave me, I gradually began to understand "what I don't understand".

I used to read a book called "Color and Light" which was just an amazing guide to painting (especially color and light), but after reading through it, I honestly didn't know how to use the content.

But a few days ago, I was painting a picture and thought I didn't understand the logic, so I opened the book again and found that I now know how to apply the contents of the book to my own pictures.

I was really happy to see how much I have grown.

Drawing is always accompanied by anxiety. Anyway, I hope I can grow with each picture I draw.

Thank you for always giving "like" my work.

Changing my painting is fraught with anxiety, and I often doubt myself if my painting is really improving. But your words are encouraging to me. Thank you.😊

The 2nd picture is really cute. How the stack of yakisoba stacked upwards like that is beyond me. 😄 Congratulations! It's always nice when an artist can recognize the progress they make. It's something to be really happy about.
