SKY DANCER
I have always loved the flat blue sky of ease on the California Central Coast. We rarely have clouds in this region, and even when I went to college and would paint flat blue skies, I’d have teachers ridicule me for not painting clouds. “No sky looks like that in real life,” they’d say with condescending disdain. But here, from Santa Barbara to Paso Robles and just beyond, that’s exactly the case.
This is why I love shooting models with only the sky as a background. It’s almost like an abstract painting of a background. Some people, my fianceé included, can’t tell if the images were taken in a studio with a blue background or outdoors. There’s a genuine nature to it, a sincerity of color that I find irresistible.
Add to this mix the beautiful Jay Marie, who in herself is a true work of natural beauty, and you have all the elements for a gorgeous photo shoot. This talented, gorgeous lady is truly one of a kind and always a joy to create with, and I know you’ll love these images as much as we do!
