Aila's Ramblings - Although We've Come To The End of The Road

So, here we are.  The main story is finally completed (for the highest tier, but it's coming!)

Let's get through this in as organized a way as possible!

📅 Annual Memberships

If you signed up for an Annual Membership and your membership will not expire for a couple of months, I'd like to offer:

There are already some requests, some of which will likely require more than one chapter or at least be quite long, and they will all be posted here, so you will have something to read.  In addition, if you're still here in July, that is when I'm hoping to have settled on a new story and will post here first.

Unfortunately, that is the best I can do without exhausting myself.

🛑💸 Pause Billing for April 💸

Billing will be paused for April as I will not be writing or posting during that month.  

For those who are on an annual plan or would like to continue to have access to the stories, the plan is to pause billing for April.  To my understanding, everyone will still have access to all the content and those who have an annual plan will have their plan extended a month because April won’t be ‘charged’.  It’ll be my first time doing this, so fingers crossed.

April will be a very busy month for me in my professional (work) and personal lives.  It is the start of the fiscal year at work and I’ll be trying to get things in order before the last half of April, when I’ll be out of the country for two weeks.  Because I’ll only be taking a backpack and going around the island the entire time, I won’t have time to really write.  I don’t want you to be billed when I’m not writing.

✒️Writing Schedule for March 📓

But what about March?  Well, I’m going to take a few days to decompress while I begin writing the Love Interest “End Scenes” and the short series “Summer Jams 4”, where we just follow Tori and the others during their (4th) summer (together) Soleil-trip.

I am aiming to get 2 chapters a week on Tuesdays and Fridays until April, when billing will be paused.  It will pick up again in May.  I will continue until I've covered what is planned and requested.  The proposed schedule:

• 👼 Constantine - Takes place immediately after the last chapter of the main story, which reunites our favorite future clergy-member/antiquities researcher with the group and joins them on Summer Jams 4.  It covers his marking ceremony.
• ☀️ Summer Jams 4 - which will have several chapters that take place in different locations.  Karap, which is the first stop, will be Constantine’s chapter.  SJ4 will cover Tres Arcos, Presidio, King’s Harbor/Moss Hill, Enda (Nord), Gorask (Ilyana’s hometown), Buchenberg (Osten, ancestral castle of the von Schwert march), Viclya, and back to Horizon.
• 💜 Then, the Love Interest End Scenes - These each take place a certain amount of years after the main story.

Dimitri (1 year later), Montan (2 years later), etc.

• 🎭 Then, the requested character one-shots for the Annual Memberships.

📚 Will I be writing after TT? And why not a Universite sequel? 🕮

Yes.  I do plan to write something new this summer.  I am going to take a relatively long break from series writing.  Everything else is essentially a fun one-shot, so they're much more relaxing to write.  

I decided not to write an entire sequel to Universite because there didn't seem to be a very interesting storyline.  It was mainly a collection of random events throughout the next 4 years, which can be written individually, sporadically.  Doing so would be more enjoyable and much less stressful for me.

💭 What are my final thoughts on TT? 💭

I should've done more research on how many words per chapter was normal on RR before I gave into my whim to write and post.   Do you know what my 'backlog' was when I posted the first chapter?  TWO.  

What I post is, at best, a 2nd draft. I still have quite a ways to go writing and want to be a bit more rigorous next time.  I have places I need to work on and could better organize myself.

This has been a massive learning experience and I hope to pace myself better next time.  

That being said, it has been amazing.  I learned so much and became so (sometimes exhaustively) disciplined with my writing.  Most days, it was work my regular office job, then write for several hours before bed.  

I regret not being better prepared, but I don't regret writing the story.
