I think it I think it ironic that everyone seems to think things are totally over. Despite Madam Vos And her sons having a seemingly gotten their happy ending in the Delta that everyone seems to think things are totally over. Despite Madam Vos And her sons having a seemingly gotten their happy ending in the Delta Their is still the matter of: Moving a portion of their family, setting up kilns, finding clay deposits, seeing if the rest of the Family unkle and all will move to the Delta, seeing if cow man harrasses the brick buisiness into selling, (because it seems like the only non sweatshop/midevil poverty business in town,) and Seeing if The Former Lord Hart Really loves Madam Vos and is willing to go live in a crappy tent in the delta instead of the barons estate. (I am couldn't quite handle certian Allisa portions this morning and tried to skip around following this side storries lead, so maybe I missed the part where the Former Barron is not still living in a mansion he doesn't control.) And how the title abandonment a grand gesture if he doesn't actually face concecuences for his poor fatherhood of a bratty child, and the only real change is some lossbof prestige and a lack of paperwork. I mean the brat is in change and a bit of a stain on the barony. A barony already run with typical midevil mismanagement and the literal opposite philosophy of, "give a man a fish you'll feed him for today, teach a man to fish you'll feed him for a life time." Plenty of more opertunities for us to explore Vos bricks and the painfull nail on the chalkboard of Allisa talking.

2022-06-14 07:16:40 +0000 UTCThis, as was said in the story: If Hart couldnt stand up for Madam Voss while he was the baron, how would he possibly do so now that the daughter has all the power? Letting him continue to court, much less marry her would have been suicide both metaphorically and in a sense literally cause there's no way Alessa would let that happen and she has more than one harem member capable of murder or equivalent solutions in her name.

2022-06-14 04:25:27 +0000 UTCSucks to be him but at the same time he was just going to keep letting Alessa walk over him and in turn Madam Voss. He had time to show her how things would work if they were in a relationship as a family and he folded under pressure every time. They would have been miserable because Alessa would have insured that and the only peace if any they'd find is if she wasn't there talk about walking on egg shells.

2022-06-14 04:00:05 +0000 UTCThat ship sail when the Voss family recognized Andrew O'Taugh when Tori went to CSW to look at the bricks. There was no hiding it when Tori and her brother were introduced as his cousins. So secretary went out the window it's why Madam Voss call Tori she knew as a Guevara she had more resources to help find Alessa and co.

2022-06-14 03:47:31 +0000 UTCAh, shame things couldn't work out between Hart and Voss. And now her family has to leave their home, which sucks, even if they're ultimately trading up. Hard not to feel sorry for the Baron, too, even if he's ultimately partly at fault.

2022-06-14 03:39:56 +0000 UTCContinuity issue: in chapter 48, Architect Ebbadottir says this: >"That I am representing a construction company in Horizon. We are looking to buy for a project near water," Architect Ebbadottir said. "Your name has not been mentioned. What shall I refer to you as?" But here, she tells them immediately that she's representing Lady Guevera.

2022-06-14 01:47:32 +0000 UTCEdit suggestion: "His mother and Uncle were only two siblings and relationship were very good." I'm loving these interludes. Honestly wouldn't mind if we got one a month to replace a normal chapter release.
