ALL THAT GLITTERS

It’s always such a joy to work with such a professional model as Carlotta Champagne. Smart, talented, and incredibly easy on the eyes, this special lady knows what she’s got, what to do with it, and where she’s headed.

On this particular day a few months ago, she was excited to trot out all her new outfits, all of which she hadn’t done any shoots in yet. Of course, I was happy to oblige! My favorite was this particularly sparkly little number, a chainmail shirt made of gold disks. It was an odd little item, but with the sun slowly setting, it was the perfect color and reflective surface to use with that lighting.

We shot for about half an hour in this outfit, joking and laughing through most of it, though she always was able to compose herself in order to achieve a serious-looking image. She is, as stated above and numerous times before, a consummate professional.
