Aila's Ramblings & BREAK REMINDER - 12/30/31

Hello!

Just a big reminder that I will be on 'break' from January 1st to the 16th.  As such, there will be no updates on Royal Road at that time.  However, Patron will have updates on Fridays.

January 1 - Chapter 51 (RR will have Chapter 50 posted on January 1st, as well.)

January 7 - Chapter 52

January 14 - Chapter 53

January 16 - Resume regularly scheduled updates - Chapter 54 (RR will have chapter 51 posted on January 16th).

This should bring you guys ahead by three chapters.

I appreciate everyone's patience and encouragement to take a break, as aside from it being a normally hectic month, my favorite uncle passed away a few days ago.  My family is very close and this is heartbreaking for us.  Not unexpected, as he has been fighting cancer for three years.  None-the-less, his passing pains us greatly. I'm okay, just a bit emotionally exhausted.

Sorry about burdening you all with that.  My ramblings are all over the place, it seems.

Anyway, reading everyone's comments here and on RR, everyone is way more dramatic and dark than where I'm taking the story (with the exception of Axton's parents, but that's a whole other thing).

Lastly, HAPPY NEW YEAR (in advance)!  I hope the new year keeps you all happy, healthy, and safe.  <3

Lost my grandma who was 90 this year. Even knowing it was coming and having a month to say goodbye, her loss still hit us hard. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

The Lost Pages

Happy new year to you too! It's tough to lose close family, especially when everyone around you is celebrating and you feel all alone.

Dang. Losing close family is always rough. I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers.

I'm sorry to hear about you uncle. And as much as I love this story I hope you take the time to rest and be with your family. Even if that means you need to take a break for a while, mental health and well-being are more important.

Sorry to hear about your uncle. I hope your family comes together, shared laughter buoying your spirits. May the currents ever work for you, not against you.
