How This All Happened

So, here's how this story came to be.

I've been a fan of isekai since the late 90's and recently have been seeing a lot of reborn as the villainess media lately.  I do enjoy them to varying degrees, but found that I tend to lean more towards wholesome family and friend interactions, which tends to be sidelined by the major plots of revenge and romance.

And that's super understandable, but when I get stressed and tired, I just want to read something light and happy.

I figured, hey, I've been writing for decades and have some spare time, why don't I just write my own for fun.

So I did.

I wrote the first chapter 4 days before I submitted it to Royal Road, and then wrote two more chapters during the 48 hours it took for the story to be approved.   I literally heard about Royal Road a month earlier, when I was looking for somewhere to post my original fiction.

I didn't expect the story to get the attention that it did.  I really did just post on a whim, so I was kind of terrified.  At any given time, I only have 3 chapters scheduled to post and another 2 or 3 that are sitting around, waiting to be reviewed.

I don't have an editor.  It's just me sitting at my computer in the evening, typing away.  Each chapter is between 5k and 6k words, which I only realized was too much AFTER I had settled into the scheduled posts.   Honestly, do your research everyone.  Don't be like me.

Since more people are reading, I can only hope that someone out there enjoys what I write and gives them a momentary escape from reality to relax.

My goal with my writing has always been two things:

First - make myself happy.

Second - maybe make others happy, too.

Thank you so much for your support.

Take care,

Aila

Mecanimus has the right of it—chapter divisions should be planned around what can be read in a single sitting as a satisfying experience. Splitting releases to arbitrary 1k or 2k increments in order to game the PtW viewcount system often hinders more than it helps, in my view. Q–(’̀-’̀Q )

That's insane I always assumed author had finished a full arc over a long period of time and was just spacing the releases. Anyway 5k chapters are beefy and satisfying.
