SUMMER’S END
Well, here it is, the end of summer, We all knew it had to end some time, and though none of us had all the fun we wished we’d had over the last three months, I hope you had enough to sustain you through the coming months. The next several months will get darker, the colors not as bright, the weather not as warm and inviting to leave the house.
That’s sort of what inspired this series, taken with my dear buddy Jesslyn. Jess doesn’t shoot much anymore, and now that she permanently lives in Los Angeles, we don’t see each other as much as we wish we could. Still, we text often, gossip and laugh, and share as much about our lives as we can.
This series was taken in my new house, towards the end of the day when everyone is a little too tired, the sun is almost gone, and yet, life is still beautiful and rich. That’s how I feel about the end of the summer. There are still many great times to be had in this year, they just won’t be the same. Let’s try to enjoy it as best we can.
