ACTING MY AGE
As I have been saying a lot lately, my life has been changing rapidly this last year and a half. I’m engaged, live in an actual house, and have a 15 year old step-son that has taught me the joys and frustrations of parenting in a way I never thought I’d know.
But all of this makes me simply appreciate life like no other time that I’ve experienced. Every day seems like a week, every week like a month. It feels as though the things that happened a few months ago are years behind me. Now this may seem scary or sound depressing to hear, but I think it’s a good thing. It feels as though I’m cramming in a whole lot of life into a very small period of time, making my life seem fuller, richer than it ever has before.
So for now, let’s try to take life as it comes one day at a time. Enjoy the quiet, reflective moments, handle the complicated times as best we can, and laugh, eat, drink, and love the only way possible: FULLY.
