BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

The most interesting moments you have in life are usually not on display to the public, or at least, they shouldn’t be. The quiet times, the intimate moments, the times you have to try to recapture when telling people later on, those are the ones worth truly living.

Nowadays, too much is being shared. Every meal, every place you visit, “checking-in” to a location so your friends can be jealous of what show you’re seeing. Who really cares, other than data collectors who can sell this information to advertisers about your habits?

I still long for those personal memories, those conversations that took hours, that changed your life, but that you can never accurately describe later to your friends. These are the moments, behind closed doors, when you live for real.
