THE LIFE OF SHALEY
As I’ve written about endlessly, I adore this special lady. Shaley is so fun, so endearing, so genuine and real. She has become one of my most honest and sincere friends, and one of my most tenacious. She messages me out of the blue, likes to be involved in my life and actively seeks out time to further enrich our friendship, it’s impossible not to love this lady.
This series was taken during yet another period where I felt uninspired, when I needed to just try new things, get back to basics, etc. Black and White imagery has been a staple of my work lately, a way for me to challenge myself, to push myself outside my comfort zone, to distance myself from my deepest love: Color.
This shoot, as many of my black and white series are, was inspired by the great and gone Herb Ritts. He passed away far too young and is truly a game changer to me in the photography-model-fashion world.
I’m not sure if I was successful, but I know it was a lot of fun. Please enjoy this special series of this extra-special lady, only here on Patreon!
