I put a lot of effort into the expression of light this time.

I think I need to work on the expression of light to improve the quality of my work, so I've been studying it by watching course videos and looking at the pictures of good artists.

But as I pursue light, I'm beginning to think that color is the problem, so I'm studying color again.

In the past, I had the image that illustrations drawn with PC software tended to be highly saturated. Maybe it's because there were fewer colors to use.

Because of this, I used to try to keep the saturation as low as possible, but in the middle of the process, I started to think that the reason my illustrations weren't appreciated was because they were too saturated and plain, so I became more conscious of raising the saturation to give them a more pop feel.

If I raised the saturation too much, the picture would end up looking cheesy, so I mainly used colors from anime as a reference.

But then I started to think that the saturation was too high, but I didn't want to just lower the saturation to make it more austere, so I didn't know what to do.

Recently, I've been thinking that it's not so much a matter of saturation as it is a matter of color selection, and I think it's important to be able to place the right color for the right picture.

By the way, the character this time is a new VTuber, Sonoba Shinogi.

She had a lovely voice.
