Book 3 potential final artwork! One minor question

Only thing I'm unsure of is how much I like the "Sunburst" around the circle.
Technically, I did ask for it, but I didn't think my bad MS paint "straight spikes" would be taken so literally.
Do I accept the artwork the way it is? Does it look good like that? Or do I just make it a circle?
I really don't know, so I'm asking all of you!

2021-02-15 19:13:46 +0000 UTCThe Starburst is better than a simple circle I think thematically. Currently a bit overdone, too sharp and long, sword theme, and too elongated for my tastes.

With just a little editing it will become less dominant in the picture. I think the sunburst works and would work better if faded into the background a tiny bit. The rays, I mean

I think the rays look kind of cool and keep it in the style of an ancient roman fresco, but maybe it would look cooler with empty space there (no rays) or shorter rays to be more symmetrical with the bottom half and in line with the 'dawn' meaning. Yeah I think shorter rays might be better cause that's more like dawn, but as it is it's not bad.

2021-02-09 03:52:51 +0000 UTCI don't really see a sunburst in that. It looks too chaotic for me, and think of 'sunburst' as stylized and symmetric. I'm .. relatively indifferent. I like the idea of the sunburst, I don't like that implementation?

2021-02-09 03:48:18 +0000 UTCIn my opinion the sunbursts fit with the martial theme since they're reminiscent of swords. It has a good propaganda feel which is what the rangers seem to be going for with 'Sentinel Dawn' anyway. So it suits the context of the story. Of course, I still think chibi Elaine is the truest representation of Elaine and it wouldn't suit there. But here it does.
